How your leather clutch wallet is made
Our expert printing technicians use the most up-to-date technology to permanently bond your design directly to the leather. This infusion method creates a permanent print which is as strong as the leather itself. Our craftsmen will then cut the leather to size and make your high-quality zip, complete with a puller before our artisan seamstresses stitch everything together and line it. As the artisans do this by hand, there might be slight wrinkling on the leather, but this only adds to the elegant look of leather and does not affect the quality in any manner. You might feel that it is more apparent on solid dark coloured blocks but you can be assured about the quality.
The Nappa leather is sourced via Italian tanneries for printing and finishing in our own in-house atelier studio. This work is by hand and to order. As a full grain, bovine-calf leather, it is graded to the highest level for print and manufacturing quality.
Simply surface-wipe with a damp cloth. Use mild soapy water if necessary.
When you design custom leather clutches online, take into account the size that you have chosen. The custom clutch bag is available in both small and large sizes. If you are opting for a smaller bag, ensure that your design is not so intricate that you cannot make out the smaller details when it is scaled down.
Due to our expert printing techniques, our technicians can print fine detailing up to 2pt onto the leather material however, do bear in mind the size of the surface onto which you are printing.
Always know where your essentials are with a custom leather clutch. Perfect for keys, phone and your cash or cards and ideally suited for any occasion a printed leather clutch wallet is at the height of style and practicality.
Whether it's an employee perk or a saleable product, a leather clutch is a versatile accessory. From coffee with customers to a night on the town, a custom leather clutch is a girl's best friend.
Offer your customers something unique, something different and out of the ordinary. No longer does their appreciation for art need to stop when they leave the house. In fact, when you use your designs to custom print clutches online, that's where it starts.
Frequently asked questions:
Will my design be interrupted where the panels join?
When you custom design leather clutches online, they are made from a single piece of genuine or faux leather then they are lined. This means that at the seams where the leather is joined, you may see a small amount of interruption depending on your design. However, we don't make the front and back from separate panels so you won't have the same interruption that you get with other clutch bags.
Will my design peel away?
Our top-of-the-range leather printing techniques ensure that the inks, and thus your design, is bonded permanently to the material. This modern digital printing negates the need to print onto a film which adheres to the leather, and means that your design is as strong as the leather itself and won't peel off.
Will the zip be fiddly, especially with the smaller bag?
Your high-quality zip is beautifully finished with a circular puller. This means that you can both open and close the zip of your custom leather clutch with ease. The puller is available in your choice of silver or gold and will match the zip teeth in colour, contrasting beautifully with the black coloured tape of the zip. This zip puller features not only on the small clutch but the large as well.

What's the best resolution to print in?
We print at 200dpi, which is a good combination of quality and file weight. Ideally, your image should be scaled to 100% at 200dpi, this means that no resizing of your file occurs stopping any interpolation.
Should I save my file as a TIFF or JPEG?
For multi-coloured or very detailed files we recommend using a tiff format, but they must be flattened. For simple colours and low detail files, a jpeg is fine.
Which colour model should I choose? RGB or CMYK?
We advise providing images in the RGB colour space. Specifically using the sRGB image profile, to achieve best colour results. What does this mean? In your editing software choose RGB as the working space, and assign the image profile as sRGB (full name sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
What does GSM mean?
Grams per Square Meter (GSM) is an international standard for measuring the weight of paper or fabric. GSM uses the weight of a square meter (1000 x 1000mm) as an indication of the weight and thickness of a given fabric. We class 20-100gsm as light (summer fabrics, gauzes and fine silks), 101-249 gsm as medium (most clothing fabrics) and 250+ gsm as heavy (upholstery fabrics, and other specialist fabrics).
What are bleed areas?
When designing your product, it’s best to make sure that your image is slightly larger than needed. In printing, the extra printed image is referred to as a “Bleed Area” or margin, and it is removed from the finished piece. A bleed area acts as a buffer for slight inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. however, it’s important to fill your bleed areas completely, or you may end up with white, unprinted strips along the edge of your finished product.
Do you print on garments a customer supplies?
Unfortunately not. All our garments are printed on flat fabric and sewn into finished products, which gives a better-finished result and all-over print. We test meticulously so that we know what gets the best results on our fabrics, and our facilities cater perfectly to them. We do however print sublimation paper to order, so if you have access to a heat press you can press your fabrics or flat garments easily.
Can you Align a Pattern or design across panels of a garment?
We always strive for the greatest accuracy when printing and constructing your garments. However, due to unavoidable stretch or movement of the fabric during the stitching process, we cannot guarantee perfect pattern registration across garment seams. We are generally accurate within 2-3mm, which is close enough for most patterns but may show slight issues with detailed geometric patterns.
Can I print my own Labels?
Most of our garments now come with printable label space for you to add your own company information and branding. If you would like to sew in your own labels, we also offer Printed Fabric Labels here.
How is your fabric printing eco-friendly?
With environmental consciousness in mind, our fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used. Our heat fixing procedure fixes the colours and prints, avoiding the downsides of steaming, such as excess or contaminated water returning into the waste system. We have one facility where we conduct all the printing, production and fulfilment.
